 Day 1

1HighlightArrival in Sri Lanka late this evening. Following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, a tour representative will meet you as you exit the ARRIVALS TERMINAL building after which you would be transferred to your hotel in Negombo. (Midnight check-ins, rooms booked from previous night)

Day 2

1Highlight2Day free at leisure in Negombo, this vibrant town offers some nice beaches hotels, it draws tourists who stop over for a day or two on their way to or from the airport,  shop for local handicrafts, batiks and jewellery at the boutiques on the beach.

Day 3

HighlightsPic3After breakfast journey north to Kandalama, en route visiting the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.  After a brief stop proceed to Kandalama and rest of the day free for relaxing within one of the most marvelous hotels in Sri Lanka.

Day 4

After breakfast we travel to climb the rock fortress of Sigiriya.

Sigiriya consists of the remains of an ancient palace built by King Kassapa during the 5th century. We climb up to the top of the rock to view the remains of the palace.  Afternoon back to your hotel and evening at leisure.

Day 5

HighlightsPic5After breakfast proceed to the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa where you will see historical architecture and sculptures and an extraordinary irrigation system built by the Kings. 

Afternoon proceed to your hotel and in the evening visit Minneriya National Park for a jeep safari.

Day 6

HighlightsPic6After breakfast  drive to the beach resort in Passikuda located on the east coast of Sri Lanka.Passikuda has Sri lanka’s most pristine stretches of beach, the choicest of beaches are certainly found at pasekuda and kalkuda.

Your time here is at leisure to enjoy the east coast beaches.

After breakfast  a day free at leisure to spend by the beach.

Day 8

HighlightsPic8After breakfast drive south to Kandy, en route we visit a cave temple in Dambulla.  Located in the north central province, this UNESCO World Heritage Site which dates back to the 01st century BC, is an amazing complex of 05 caves, first used as a refuge by an ancient king now a Buddhist  temple. We also stop at Matale, a spice growing region for a special insight to some unique Sri Lankan agriculture. Then visit a traditional spice garden. Time permitting watch a cooking demonstration and enjoy a shared meal. Proceed to your hotel in Kandy and Rest of the day free at leisure.

Day 9

HighlightsPic9Kandy is the home of The Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa), one of the most venerable places for the Buddhist community of Sri Lanka. 

Late evening witness a cultural dance performance in a theatre close to the Kandy temple.

Day 10

HighlightsPic10After breakfast we board the train from Kandy to Nanu Oya (Railway Stopping Point in Nuwara Eliya) the tour guide will meet your train at the station upon arrival and you will be transferred to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya. This is the heart of the tea growing areas of Sri Lanka, famous for Ceylon Tea.

Day 11

HighlightsPic13Today we visit the Horton Plains National Park; this region was designated a national park in 1988. It is a popular tourist destination 32 kilometres from Nuwara Eliya town. A trek to the  sheer precipice of World's End lookout and Baker's waterfalls are among the main tourist attractions of the park.

Day 12

HighlightsPic12After breakfast drive south to Yala.  In the evening join a jeep safari in the Yala National Park.

Sri Lanka’s famous National Park is popular for Elephants, Leopards, Bears, Crocodiles and Wild Boar. Also a large variety of resident and migrant birds.

Day 13

HighlightsPic132After breakfast we drive north towards Colombo but stop one last time at a coastal beach resort in Ahungalla to truly unwind, evening at the beach resort. En route we stop at Galle,  a major city, the city was extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The Galle fort is a world heritage site prominent landmarks in Galle include the city's natural harbor, the National Maritime Museum, St. Mary's Cathedral founded by Jesuit priests, one of the main Shiva temples on the island, On 26 December 2004 the city was devastated by the massive Tsunami caused by the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake that occurred a thousand miles away, off the coast of Indonesia. Thousands were killed in the city alone. Galle is home to a cricket ground, the Galle International Stadium

HighlightsPic15After breakfast we drive further north towards Colombo and check in to your hotel in Mount Lavinia. Evening those who wish can explore the city of Colombo.

Day 16

Day free for packing and that last minute souvenir shopping or to relax by the pool bar overlooking the city landscape. Late checkout till 06:00pm this evening you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight home.
