Stardust Arugam-bay (Surfers Package)
Arugam Bay is on the list of the top ten surf points in the world. Situated on the South East side of Sri Lanka Arugam Bay receives the same Antarctic winter swell's that hit Indonesia in the in the middle of the year. The best time of the year is between May and November when the predominant wind is offshore for at least the first half of the day.
Due to its location and southerly swell direction the area is dominated by right hand point breaks. There is a beach break in front of the Stardust Hotel, which can be fun for body surfing or for beginners but that's about it. Three of the point breaks "The Point", "Pottuvil Point" and "Crocodile Rock" are within hour drive from the Hotel, with "The Point being visible (15 min walk) from the hotel. There are several other points that are within a 1-hour's drive or can be accessed by boat. Some of the staff at the hotel surf and are happy to help you plan surf trips to some of these lesser known breaks

Trance is a genre of music that is a mix of feel good dance tunes with a lot of repetitive beats and phrases; the music combined with very bright colors is used to create a euphoric sensation. This type of music is endemic to Hikkaduwa. Cinnamon Bey Beruwala
The history of Beruwala dates back to the 10th century when the first permanent Arab settlements in Sri Lanka were noted to have been there, and it is this Turkish architecture that has been the inspiration of this resort that occupies the land of two older hotels that were demolished. Cinnamon Bey is named with reference to this history and is the term used to address provincial nobleman of the Turkish Empire. The unique location of the resort gives it the possession of having both the bay and the beach as its view including a natural pool ideal and safe for swimming.
